Hi guys. Rick from ComicLink here. I just wanted to remind everyone that our Featured Auction Original Art Session is closing later today, Tuesday, December 4th, starting at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT. Up for bid are over 500 high quality pieces of comic-related and fantasy original art by many of the top artists in the hobby, the vast majority with no reserve. Be sure to get your bids in soon!

Just a few of the many original art highlights in the auction session include:

  • Michael Kaluta: the grail-level painted Conan cover to Epic Illustrated #4, arguably the finest painting of Kaluta’s long career
  • Rich Buckler: the Avengers #104 cover from the early Bronze Age with the Scarlet Witch taking charge in battle surrounded by the core male Avengers
  • Frank Frazetta: a sublime Dracula paperback cover oil painting
  • Ernie Chan: the Master of Kung-Fu #17 cover from the 1st issue of the title featuring a great battle between Shang-Chi and Black Jack Tarr in the latter's 1st appearance! Very timely with Marvel Studio's announcement yesterday of a Master of Kung Fu movie!
  • Gene Colan: the Twice-up Daredevil #26 cover with DD battling the Stilt-Man and the Tomb of Dracula #42 cover featuring Blade
  • John Buscema: a Fantastic Four #112 Thing vs. Hulk battle page mirroring the issue’s well known cover
  • Joe Kubert: the Star Spangled War Stories #145 cover with Enemy Ace
  • Jim Aparo: the Aquaman #62 cover with Aquaman and Mera mourning the death of their young son and the Brave and the Bold #140 cover with Batman and Wonder Woman
  • Ross Andru: the Amazing Spider-Man #134 title splash with a great image of Spidey in action
  • Art Adams and Mike Mignola: the Defenders #142 cover featuring the “New” Defenders
  • Bernie Wrightson: a fabulous painted Spider-Man vs. monster page from the “Hooky” Marvel Graphic Novel
  • Steve Dillon: the Preacher #60 finale splash featuring large images of Jesse Custer and the Saint of Killers
  • Carmine Infantino: the Detective Comics #403 title splash featuring a gothic Batman image--it is the only known Batman splash Infantino drew during the early "Creature of Night" era
  • Brian Bolland: an ideal Joker illustration pre-dating his work on Batman: The Killing Joke

See below for images of these great pieces.

Keep in mind that this is just the start as there is a large array of over 500 wonderful pieces in this auction session, all ending today!

Good luck to all of the consignors and bidders!
