i like the idea of a used copy every once and a while...where would you find one ? At a comic book store ?

At this grade range the "8" makes little to no difference in the presence of the approx 3" cover tear, the heavy accumulation of long color breaking creases, chipping, staining and general wear.  If the "8" were removed somehow, it would improve the appearance but not affect the actual grade.  Conversely, you could probably draw another similar "8" on the cover and it would receive the exact same grade (not recommended of course!).  Still a great book!

This thread is a prime example of why you need to post both the front cover and the back cover in a "Buddy can you spare a grade" thread.  

Notice how everyone ammended their grades once the back cover pic was added.

Sorry you didn't get a 1.5 out of it.  It is about as nice of a 1.0 as you'll ever see.  It's still a $4500 comic.  Maybe more since it presents well.
