CGC Original Universal Label Color
1 1

Hello all,

I was wondering, didn't CGC originally, in the beginning, for their Universal grade label, use a burgundy/red label color?  I thought I remember seeing those when CGC first came on the scene back in 2000.  Thanks!

Pretty sure the "Universal" Label has always been blue, but in the first year or so, they used a Red Label for "Modern".

Someone else may correct me if I'm wrong.

This is correct.   Blue has always been universal, but they used RED for (universal) Modern books in the first year or two.  Can't recall what the exact cutoff year was.  I had a set of Wolverine mini that were all red.  But, I know it went further back than that.
