i guess i should've said - bid on his items with 2ndary IDs for incredible amounts, and then not pay.

 

That's a whole differant ballgame...I would consider this "protection bidding"...since it is done to either correct the ways of a clear cut thief or to at least expose him for what he really is. All this in order to protect ignorant bidders from a fraudulant thief....

Punishment bidding can backfire on you if you ramp up the bid too much and/or

mistime it.It's also impolite because you can't tell the diff between punishment and pushing on an internet auction.
