The dam puddling of the inner liner (that dent/blob looking defect in Joe's first pic) has made an indention in the book.

Gotcha. Dang. That just sucks. How does the puddling like that even occur? I've never seen that before.

I'm not quite sure how it happens in the production process but I'd imagine it might happen when the molten inner liner cools and contracts maybe?  That may be totally wrong

I don't see these as much as in the past, but there was a time that the puddling of the CGC inner well was so bad it actually "pressed" the shape into the back of the book. It can be pressed out easily, but it is affecting the book to a degree. Don't see this in the newest iteration of the case.
