I love this issue and especially the cover. I've tweeked the scanning parameters to help correct my blurry issues. Hate the ink on the back cover, but it is what it is.

I'd have to go with 2.5 as well.

 

There's nothing in the grading guide on this that I can see, but in one of the 1992 grading guide's defect sections there is a "VG40" comic that got downgraded to "GD25" on account of "heavy writing on cover." Grading is stricter now than it was 13 years ago, but 2.5 might be a good conservative grade for this book.

I mind it 10 times less than H2O or tape.

Looks like the previous owner had a tough time choosing between the transistor radios and the Gemini Rocket.

 

Still, writing on the BC is not as bad as on the FC. I'll say 3.0.

No I haven't sent it in to CGC. The book is nice except for the back cover. I just wanted to know how much the ink would affect an otherwise nice book. I won't use that phrase in my subject line again, too confusing.
