No hidden defects. Everything seen in photos is what it is. The rip is just one interior page as shown in the one photo. I appreciate any and all thoughts:)

I would put this in a 2.5 maybe with a press 3.0 range. but not a resto expert and still learning but I would be suspect about that edge being trimmed

Yeah I wondered about that. The pages do stick out but I don’t know cuz the middle pages stick out the most. Wondered if it was trimming on cover or just a wonky binding.

All things considered, this actually has a decent look to it. I think a 3.0 is reasonable if you can smooth out some of those dents...

If anyone can tell me if more photos would help or what to look for with regards to trimming that would be great. Kinda hoping it’s not been restored.

and yes @The Lions Den it was under $80 so I couldn’t say no when I bought it.

This.  2.5 as is, 3.0 if someone skillful presses it vigorously enough to smooth it out without lifting the color off the covers.

Edges are normal. Slightly loose staples, the paper pulled inward at the staples, may be creating just a tad more of the page ends at the right edge to stick out slightly more than if the paper was tighter at the staples, but all good. Normal.
