Wax cover on comic books 0

Hello everyone,

I have an AF 15 Reprint Blank Variant Comic and it was sent to me with a wax cover. I’m not too familiar if it has any significance as to the condition of the comic or what not. I’m worried I might damage the book if I pull it off.  Never really seen this before. Some enlightenment on the subject would help. Thanks.

There's a couple on ebay HERE but speaking as a collector who still has collectible cards & kool aid pouches in some 90's books...I wouldn't remove the wax cover unless I got a sketch done by someone.
