I’m trying to figure out whether this book would benefit from a cleaning and pressing. I would appreciate any help you can offer.

It would, but it seems like an odd place to spend your funds on cleaning & pressing IMO. With the soft corners, spine ticks and small BC stains, I'm not sure it will rise above 8.0/8.5 range.
