NEW MUTANTS # 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 - FIRST SERIES 1983 - ALL GLOSSY COPIES - $20

Issue # 1 (COPY D) has thumbing damage from "unbagged long boxing shopping" above the "COMICS" in the MCG logo line.  It's probably going to rate a VF minus.

Issues 2 - 4 are glossy NM copies with 5 being a NM MInus or so due to the black cover and a few spine ticks.

Not a bad price at approx. $4 each ( which is cover price on today's books )

That's 59 first printing issues of this sixty issue run.  All books average out to NM-/NM with the possible VF/NM copy sprinkled about, but the majority in glossy NM rack fresh condition.

One of the main reasons I place a VF/NM tag on those few is due to white cover spines that show everything or just a smidge of storage wear.

If you have a number one and have always wanted the rest of the set, then here you go. Word has it that there is a TV show in the works, so I'd say now is a good time to jump in.

SPAWN # 1 (NEWSTAND/AUTOGRAPHED), 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 - ALL THIRTEEN BOOKS FOR - $35

Issues # 2 and up are all GLOSSY NM COPIES, no worries there.

Issue # 1 grades out to a FN/FN+ due to handling wear, some indentions at Spawn's lower hand... and non-color breaking color creasing on the cover.  A press may help.

Pretty sure this was one of the issues I had signed at Heroes Con back in 1995. 

No McFarlane sig, but Al Simmons (the actual Al) and two others I don't remember.  No COA either so sorry.  It's still the rarer NEWSTAND edition and it still has the poster attached inside.

For the price I'm asking, I think one could just consider the # 1 a freebie

HAHA.....I'm probably in the small minority that I can actually tolerate/somewhat enjoy the movie....but the HBO show.....man, I really loved that and thought it was pretty well done for the time.

Issues 1 - 8 are all glossy NM... issue 9 has a blunted upper back cover corner which would probably flatten out.
