TALES TO ASTONISH # 60 - 3.5/4.0 COPY - $30

DOUBLE FEATURE BEGINS WITH GIANT MAN AND THE HULK.

Book has a variety of problems associated with grade.  This biggest is the small hole in the front cover that gets smaller as it goes through the first four pages.

Some spine wear and some creasing with that corner crease and tear on the back cover too.  It's been a read a few times in the last almost 60 years  

Let's address the good parts shall we   The book is all there and the centerfold is attached.  The book displays great without breaking the bank.  

Plus its a Silver Age key

80 PAGE GIANT # 8 - GLOSSY FN/VF COPY - $35

No real issues other than spine wear on that thick edge and the mild stress lines near "80".  A press wouldn't hurt it a bit.

PLANETARY # 1 - 17 RUN - ALL GLOSSY NM-/NM COPIES - ALL FOR $45

What a great story by Warren Ellis and John Cassaday.  This book is ripe for a TV adaptation on Netflix or Prime.

Great characters and just well written.

20 year old classic run for about three bucks over original cover price.

BATMAN: THE KILLING JOKE - ALL 14 PRINTINGS PLUS SOURIEZ ! (TRANSLATION "SMILE") FRENCH HARDCOVER - ALL FOR $800

The 1st printing has a light amount of sticker residue on the front cover above the word balloon which is hard to see unless felt or at angle and also a light scratch at Joker's squinted eye.

The 8th and 12th printings have bookseller bar code stickers affixed over the book's barcode. 

The 10th print has a small thumbing blunt at top of back cover.

The 11th printing was enjoyed and is VF-/VF due to reading wear.

Besides the notations above, this set averages out at NM-/NM copies.

The foreign hardback looks sweet too.  

Please note that with black, slick covers, it is extremely unlikely than any cover can be exactly perfect.  It's just the nature of beast.

It took me at least five years to put together two sets of this 14 printing run... and I was trying hard  

If you think the price is high and you're interested in putting a set together, I hope you'll send me a pic of it when you finish the run in at least 2024

I gave this book a NM minus due to some storage wear on the back cover...its not bad nor is it obtrusive, but with that black cover...its there.

Hard to get book.

Lower grade copy with most of the problems associated with the grade.  Still solid and all there.

Just basic wear with the worst being the "Marvel Chipping" (yes I know its a DC) down the front cover right edge and a light back cover corner crease.

Sweet copy with a really cool "JUL 7 1959" date stamp right in Lady B's eyeline.  Just a nice book.

DOOM PATROL # 100 - GLOSSY VF-/VF COPY - $65

Just a sweet book.  Glossy with that sweet purple cover.  That purple shows those spine ticks in a scan though. 

The don't look that bad in hand, but the scanner doesn't lie either.

Arrival date in the "M" of DOOM in the logo.  Nice edges and sharp corners.  A nice copy of the 2ND APPEARANCE OF BEAST-BOY (aka Changeling aka Garth).

ADVENTURE IN FEAR # 10 - GLOSSY VF/VF+ COPY - $45

MAN-THING series begins.

Nice flat copy with a tiny corner crease top right front cover and some edge wear at the right front bottom corner as well.

Mild blunt top of spine.  Nice staples and pretty sharp book.

2ND APPEARANCE OF BROTHER VOODOO.

Book has a little edge wear and a blunt on the left cover edge of the back cover edge that's about the width of the top part of a quarter.

Right edge raised a smidge probably due to improper storage.  I'll add a pic of it.

Well presenting book with lots of color and gloss.

Nice glossy flat copy.  Has some light scuffing on the front cover near the top, mainly in top left corner.

There is a small adhesive stain/mark on the "M" of COMICS in the Marvel logo line.  Its right above the word "TALES".
