When does CGC charge you and can it be more than once?

If you send stuff from different tiers, different kinds of pressings etc, will they come back at different times and do you get charged for the shipping on those?

How would you calculate shipping back and forth?

What is your experience with turnaround time with CGC and CCS? If it says a certain time on the site are you getting around that? Much longer? Much quicker?

Last question that maybe no one would know just yet, when you sign up, how long until you get your shipping kit and do they tell you they sent it out or just send it out?

1) CGC charges you when the books are shipped. Pressing and grading are done by two different companies so you might get charged "more than once". Also if you had multiple different grading tiers then you would have more than one invoice and possibly more than one charge.

2) Yes, see above.

3) The online invoice will give you the shipping charge to get the books back to you. The shipping cost sending the books to CGC depends on how you plan  on sending it. Check UPS or USPS.

4) CCS seems slower than stated. CGC turn around times are much closer, but remember that it is "business" days that is used in the count and deosnt include the time to get the books into the system, which normal takes a couple of weeks once the books are received.

5)  You can email CGC directly to check on that.

Before you start spending all that money on the pressing, you might want to check this out:

Many have been going to other places to press their comics instead and then send them to CGC.

Since being purchased by CCG, my best results with CCS have been with modern books that don’t need much attention.  But their overall volume seems to cause CCS to be a bit too “press ‘em and schlep ‘em” to trust with books that need a detail oriented clean & press.

So I got some other guys that I use to take care of the good stuff
