I picked up a small group of books and many of them had the same weird "fading" or missed color printing step...they are for the most part still glossy...what do you guys think?  Some are 1/2 a cover, some full covers of ink loss..this is 1 example..

And IF its fading, how does that affect grade?

It looks like fading to me. 4.0 IMO.

Looks like it was exposed to sunlight, these colors are definitely faded on the front cover. The back cover looks normal in terms of colors. 

Based on these images, I'd probably go 4.5.

That's fading. Look at the white above "Amazing", compared to the white in the center of the book.

Count me in for VG+.

Outside shot at 5.0 but 4.5 seems right.

And yes those look like books that hung on a wall of a shop and got sun every morning for years.

Whats really weird is the inside covers are normal and the outside covers are very glossy...wouldn't the sun fading dull the finish?
