There is light blunting of the spine corners, as well as a few spine stress creases/ticks that barely break the ink. The biggest problem this book has is what appears to be spine impact damage, which shows up as wrinkling/creases on both covers near the spine’s center. It goes through the whole book. I’ve never seen anything like this, so I have no idea how to grade it. This issue features many appearances by Marvel characters. I believe this comic to be in Very Fine minus condition, or better. There is very light blunting of the spine corners (except the top corner), as well as one or two spine stress creases/ticks that very lightly break the ink. Unfortunately, this book suffered drop/bend damage that shows near the top spine corner on both covers. The bends themselves don’t break the ink on the covers, but they did cause ink-breaking spine ticks…though pretty small. The spine near the top corner shows some wear…it is not ripped. A press will help. I believe I'm being overly conservative on my grade estimate because of the bent corner. This book is a collection of the 3-issue mini-series of the same name, based on the SyFy television series. I believe this book to be in Near Mint minus condition, or better. This book shows hardly any wear along the spine and there are no staples to worry about. There is very light blunting on the spine corners, but there are no spine stress creases/ticks to speak of. The bottom spine corner appears to have suffered minor drop damage causing very light wear on the back cover, while causing a crease on the front cover that doesn’t appear to break the ink. The comic was awarded the Eisner Award for Best Humor Publication in 1997. I believe this comic to be in Near Mint minus condition, or better.
