Spider-Man #12 Miles Gwen Kiss 0

Hello, 

I have 2 copies of Spider-Man #12 (GWEN Stacy and Miles Morales's first kiss) main cover, and I see two 9.8's in the census. However, my copies each have a very small color-breaking ding near the top staple (by Miles's deltoid) and I have looked at over 150 copies of this title and found the same flaw in all of them. If this is a manufacturing defect, would my books (all other conditions met for 9.8) be marked down for this flaw?

Good morning,

Thanks for your message.  It will still effect the grade, to some degree.  However, if it is a known manufacturing defect, the graders will take that into consideration when grading and it would not effect the grade as much as just a regular defect would.
