Along with asking for your opinion on the grade, I just want to verify something. The red ink at the top and the blue ink at the bottom of the back cover are production flaws right? I remember reading that being a norm for copper age DC books.

FYI, I just realized the scan makes it look like there is a lengthwide crease, but there is none. There is no indent of any kind, that's just how the comic is printed.

Is the crease cover-only?

Damn good question. I just checked and while it is not apparent inside the book, visually, you do feel an indent when you run your finger where the crease falls, on the first 3 leafs. It gets more faint each time.

Usually a full-book crease will bring it to a 3.0-3.5, so I'm trying to weigh the crease + other defects. 5.5 seems about right to me.

Alright, the good thing here is that the visual semblance of a crease is only on the cover, so pressing it would limit the crease to a white line on the cover. I might do that then.

I thought that was just a printing error, if it's a crease then I change my grade. So hard to get use to not having the book in front of me.Gonna have to get the hang of this, haven't done this online in a long time.

woah wait a sec, maybe we are not talking about the same thing.

@theCapraAegagrus the crease I was talking about was this one:

This book does not have a length wide crease of any kind. If you are referring to the line below, that is just how it is printed.
