Varanis Posted August 10, 2020 Share Posted August 10, 2020 (edited) I feel weird posting modern books here, but I have a slew of raw Venom comics that have apparently gone supernova in value over the last few weeks and I'm thinking about sending them in to be graded. My tentative plan is to send this and others in for a quick press and I'm aiming for 9.6 or better. The main flaws I noticed on this comic are a top bindery tear, slight chipping, and a thumb print on the back bottom cover. I'm really curious about the thumb print. How does it impact grade? It is removable?. I'm really inexperienced at grading, so I'm excited to learn from your feedback. I'm not hopeful on this one, but curious to hear what you have to say. Have you tried lightly wiping the thumbprint with a very soft cloth? I've had some luck with that in the past, unless the 'grease' soaked into the paper.
