All-American Men of War - COPY A - 4.5 - $89

This is a key book thanks to the liberal theft done by Roy Lichtenstein.

This is actually the source material for not one, not two, but SIX Lichtenstein works! Five paintings and a drawing.

It's also the only one I know of — and I am not an expert — where one of the inspirations is on the cover.

This is the nicest of the three copies I have for sale. It's tight, with great color and gloss. It does have dust shadows front and back, and the tanning at bottom front has led to a tear near the spine, and a smaller one center middle. There's also a faint subscription crease, most noticable in the logo, which is mostly unobtrusive as it hides in the panel gutters.

SOLD!

Here's a list of the works Lichtenstein swiped from this issue, actual artwork courtesy of Irv Novick and Russ Heath:

All-American Men of War - COPY B - 3.0 - $59

This is a key book thanks to the liberal theft done by Roy Lichtenstein.

This is actually the source material for not one, not two, but SIX Lichtenstein works! Five paintings and a drawing.

It's also the only one I know of — and I am not an expert — where one of the inspirations is on the cover.

This is a solid low grade copy. There's a small piece out of bottom corner back cover. There's also a vertical crinkle across the fc of the book. It looks like the book was folded, but I don't think so, as it's just the cover and not the rest, so... maybe someone dragged a heavy implement across the front cover or something.

All-American Men of War - COPY C - 2.0- $49

This is a key book thanks to the liberal theft done by Roy Lichtenstein.

This is actually the source material for not one, not two, but SIX Lichtenstein works! Five paintings and a drawing.

It's also the only one I know of — and I am not an expert — where one of the inspirations is on the cover.

This is a low grade but complete copy. The centerfold is detached at bottom staple only. The cover is attached, but feels dicey at top staple. Piece out of spine and lower corner fc as shown in scans. You can pretty much see the issues with this one.

SOLD!

Taking a break for lunch, then I will be back with the last books. 2 Matt Baker Lassie issues cheap, Josie and the Pussycats #45, and a pedigree Jimmy Olsen should about wrap it up. Unless I can come up with something else, but right now, nothing is coming to mind.

Lassie #20 - 3.0 - $13

Lassie #21 - 3.0 - $13

Or take both for $22.

Here are a couple copies of the cheapest Matt Baker books you'll ever see!

He didn't do the covers, but every page in the book, including back covers, is pure Matt Baker.

The #21 looks a lot nicer, but silverfish had a go at the bottom spine, as you can see on scan of back cover.

Josie and the Pussycats #45 - 2.0 - $50

This is the first appearance of the Pussycats, first band, first costumes, and also first Valerie.

They hid this behind a lame gag strip cover, but this is a big one. This isn't the easiest book to find, as it's from before the cartoon, so sales hadn't spiked yet.

This copy is rough but complete. The cover is somehow still attached, but mainly through sheer willpower. The interior is nice though!

I've included some photos of the interior pages so you can see the formation of the band, and the introduction of Valerie.

I think that might be it. I can't seem to find this Jimmy Olsen issue I was going to post, but does anybody care about Jimmy Olsen?

if someone wants me to post a Jimmy Olsen #48 with the Superman Emergency Squad, I have a pedigree copy that's a 7.5. I can look for it if someone is really interested.

I've also got a couple other things I'm too lazy to pull out, but I can if people want. OMAC #1 around an 8.5, House of Mystery #198 around a 9.0 or so.

In the meantime, if you see something of interest, make an offer! I've got a grail to pay off.
