Does CGC verify signatures? 0

As part of the signature series, does CGC verify the authenticity of a signature? I might have a signature of an artist -- might not -- but it looks pretty accurate to my naked eye. What will CGC do with that?

Good morning,

Thanks for your message.  CGC does not authenticate signatures.  This is the reason why any signatures must be witnessed by an authorized CGC witness or come directly from an artist with the correct paperwork to verify that signature is genuine.  A book that has been signed but that signature was not witnessed by an authorized witness will not receive a Signature Series label.  You can find out more about our signature series program on our website here: https://www.cgccomics.com/signature-series/
