To re-grade or not re-grade

Is it worth resubmitting an already slabbed comic for the hopes of a better grade? Also, if I wanted to upgrade the case.... is that a dream I can breath life into? I have a Battle Chasers 1 at a 9.6. Now, I’m pretty fine with the grade as it’s in my personal collection and it looks perfect and I’m never going to sell it... but I kind of wanted to get a new case for it. The one it’s graded in now is thinner than the newer slabs and it’s kind of scratched up. Suggestions on course of action?

Good morning,

Thanks for your message.  We do offer a reholder service if you are just looking to have your book put into a new holder without being regraded.  The cost is $15 per book.  If you would like your book regraded also then you certainly can submit it for a regrade.  The cost would be the regular grading fee based on whatever grading tier you choose.  If you have any defects that could possibly be pressed out, you might consider pressing prior to a regrade.  If you aren't sure if your books would benefit from pressing, you could also have your book screened to see if it is a good candidate for that service.  You can find our pressing and screening fees and current turnaround times here: https://www.cgccomics.com/submit/services-fees/ccs-pressing/

If you have any other questions, please let us know.  Thank you!
