Thinking a press and a dry clean can help the grade. Structurally sound but... alot of surface defect in the way of impressions, engrained soiling, rubs, ripples and scuffs, so overall 5.0 IMO. Can this benefit from a cleaning and pressing? I think so, and maybe by as much as a full grade, to 6.0 could be possible. Diaolos

theCapraAegagrus
5.5 as-is, and I think a press would definitely help.

Glassman10
Clean and press and it's a 6.0 perhaps a 6.5. Very nice copy. It makes me wonder how many copies were destroyed by cutting out the marvel value stamp..

Diaolos
So I pulled the trigger with the book. I think they did not do justice with the photos provided. I am thinking 8.0-8.5 with a good press and clean. All this can be pressed out. Let me know with these new photos. Thank you again and thanks to all who comment. 1950's war comics

I hope I'm wrong, but, Imo still tops out in the f/vf range after a press and clean Diaolos

theCapraAegagrus
There is no way that gets an 8.0-8.5 with a clean and press. Lower your expectations, considerably.
Glassman10
It could still not make a 6.5. 8.0 is a seriously great condition comic. This doesn't measure up unfortunately. It does look a lot better.
