Focusing only on the book itself, studying the images provided, IMO, it is not tampered with, truth be told. I see no tells whatsoever, no indication of a tell that the staples were ever opened at the centerfold or/and any tells that the staples were removed externally, completely or partially, from the cover. The seating looks 100% original, IMO. Though hghly unlikely, is it possble? Yes. Anything is possible with the right level of expertise, but in this case, IMO, and based on opinions of their resto work in general, which is typically sloppy to shoddy at best, A_T_C does not have that kind of expertise or skills to perform opening or removal and replacement and leave no traces of it behind. There's only a few that might be able to, and A_T_C is definitely not one of them.   IMO, whatever printing anomalies exist on that AS 238 are as manufactured.
