Empir3
Hey I love frank Miller and Daredevil so I wanted to get this issue slabbed . Is it worth a press and a slab like this ? What would the grade be ? Should I just find a nicer copy to slab ?
comicginger1789
A press would not help. Your biggest flaw are those stains on the bottom back cover. With those you are looking at 4.0-4.5 max Id buy a better copy already graded personally.
AwesomeSauce
I'd say this book could get a 6.5. My only concern would be the staining on the back cover. It seems CGC is being really strict on staining, these days. The front of the book looks pretty good, though. I'd just hate to see you get a lower grade because of the back cover, when the front cover is so obviously a .5 higher grade, or maybe more. The book could always benefit from a press. However, you have to decide whether a press that could potentially garner a 7.5 is worth your extra effort, based on value. Personally, I held out for a 9.2 of this issue which I bought already slabbed off of eBay for about $75.00 in 2019. I happen to love Frank Millers work, as well. I owned a raw copy of this book when I was a kid. it is a great issue, with a great story, and excellent art. PPSSM 27 is Frank Millers first work on Daredevil, too.
