BoomCity
A book I may purchase so any help on grade is appreciated! The centrefold staple is the only one like that per the seller. That’s where I’m unsure how cgc would affect the overall grade. Galen130
Randall Ries
It looks like the staple didn't make it all the way through in the manufacturing process to me. The book itself is a 6.5. Real nice book. BoomCity
comicginger1789
Safely gonna say 6.0 The slight halo tan around the edges tends to get hit. It’s def nicer than a 5.5 but I am not sure if it hits 6.5 so 6.0 sounds right. BoomCity

I assumed it was almost popped. if it’s from manufacturing, I wonder if they don’t hit the staple then Edited December 27, 2020 by BoomCity

Maybe because of a manufacturers defect, it couldn't go past a certain grade. ike if it was an obvious 9.4, it couldn't reach higher than an 8.5. To me, I don't see a tear where 2/3rds of the top part of the staple has gone back through the paper. Just a dot and an impression where it tried to get through and failed. Seems to me there were a bunch of Batman 222's that had the same issue. Many I have seen graded denoted "Top Staple Detached From Centerfold". Saw enough where I conclude it's a manufacturers defect. Either way, you have a real nice copy of a very coveted book, there.
