I just finished season 9 of Dallas...spoiler alert, it's a freaking dream?? I didn't know that going in... what an annoying waste!

I also didn't know that about the final episode of Newhart when I saw it, but that one was actually pretty awesome. Never saw St. Elsewhere, but... snow globe or whatever. I guess there's also that season of Roseanne...

So are there any long running comic stories that pulled this trope at the end? I can't even think of any specific minor arcs that did it ATM, but I feel like I've definitely come across them... (One More Day is all that comes to mind even though it's not exactly the same... and that was awful.)
