Restored or downgraded universal label 1 1

Hi there I have been reading up on your restoration and conservation methods and grading.  If I used Lineco mending tape on the inside of a cover to attach a detached corner would it be considered restoration or universal with a lower grade

Good morning,

We will ignore the presence of tape when it serves a function on the book and would grade it as if that tape was not present. So, for example, if the tape reattached the cover, we will still consider it detached since we are ignoring the tape. It would say "cover re-attached with tape" on the label in a situation like that.
