No way that this page, even though it is nice, will sell for what a nice Bronze Marvel cover goes for.

 

If it does, I predict a wave of Watchmen pages for sale with $10K reserves.

Right. Unfortunately that calls into question the entire auction. Apparently, the seller is unwilling to cancel his bids, which calles into question the seller. I have emailed him to ask that he remove that bidder, so the credibility of the auction does not suffer. Already, people on the comicart-L are warning people not to bid, as you may be bidding against a shill.

 

Hopefully, the seller will clean this up. I'll be watching, as I do like the page.

I got an email from him stating that he ended the auction because he thinks it lost credibility. It will be relisted later this week.

I think someone made him an under the table offer. And the piece wont be seen in two weeks (Heck,..it'll have an even bigger stigma in two weeks if it appears again).

From the email I got from him, he stated he would relist the item on Thursday, as another 10 day auction. I guess we'll see.
