IMPEL Marvel Trading Card Series 1 and 2 Boxes (1991 and 1992) . Why are the prices for boxes going up so high? 1 1

Can anyone tell me why the prices of the IMPEL Marvel Trading Card Boxes Series 1 and 2 are increasing in price.  Over the past few months on ebay they have been steadily increasing in price.  November they were $200-$400.  Now they are like $1000-$2000.  Any explanation would be awesome.  Thank you in advance.

Card collecting has blown up like never before. It was only a matter of time before the 30 year old marvel set became sought after. I had two full sets w holos. Sold one in Nov for $50   

 

Sets are now going for around 500 I believe

The real answer of why these have started selling so high. Cards being called rookie cards and sold for HUGE amounts.

This is great news.  I have probably 30-50 various Marvel shrink wrapped  boxes I’ve held onto for 3 decades.

would like to sell so I can buy more comics, and they do take up considerable room... almost 600 non sports card boxes.

Man.. I guess those GamStop investors had to spend their money somewhere..
