they're not rips, just indents.

9.0 maybe 9.2 as is

press might help just depends if there is any color break once they are flattened out

Are those white spots on books by couch part of cover or the indents you refer to or another defect?

the white spots on the couch are part of the cover.  My question was regarding the indents.

8.5 IMO. A press may improve the condition, but I'm not sure if they will be completely removed.
