Question about waves on new covers

I have a lot of modern marvel books that have waves on the covers.  There is no break in color.  Unfortunately it is just the crappy paper marvel is using nowadays.  My question is does that affect the grade of a book when there is nothing else wrong with the book accept for the natural waves that seem to be in just about all new books.  Thank you for any info you can give.

Good morning,

Thanks for your message.  Certainly waves in a book can affect the final grade.  We would have to examine the book before we could say how much, however.

We do offer a pressing service that could, potentially, help press out some of the waves.  You can find out more on our website here: CCS Pressing | CGC (cgccomics.com)

Thanks!
