$200 "value" tier 0

I'm sure this question has been asked 100x, but couldn't find the threads ...

When the modern tier has a $200 max value, how is that determined? 

I have books that sell $150 raw in approximately 9.0-9.4, but seem to sell closer to $250 if no noticeable flaws. Currently the market is wild and fluctuating by the day.

Is there any way to be confident in the Tier when submitting?

IIRC CGC doesn't police the values unless its something egregious...What is the value to you, if the book were to be damaged or lost...If its on the border then its up to you to decide.

In my experience, they don't care...even if egregious. It's all about how much risk you're willing to accept from an insurance perspective...

Here is the answer: the tier value is what you want back if CGC loses your book.

If 200$ is enough for you, keep that tier and write 200

If you'd want more back, then pick another tier 

The value is for insurance purposes only 

And yes this question was asked 100x and a thourough Google search would certainly have found answers
