FWIW, I've ordered a few things from France over the years and it's worked pretty well.  Takes about 3 weeks or so, but no issues so far with their standard air post.

Thanks for the input. To clarify — and I should have said this upfront — it would be about four short boxes of a collection. No idea if anyone has history on a shipment of that scale — both in terms of cost and packing correctly.
