What is this? Is it the original art to the cover or not?

Does anyone know what this is? Is it a reproduction or is it the original art?

 

If it's the original art, I guess by posting this I won't get a deal any longer but don't want it otherwise.

I'm no Pro, but here is my take.

 

What month was the comic published? Sep/Oct ? Seems the 9/10 may indicate the date not a limited print run.

 

The date on the from appears to be the date signed by the inker.

 

Could be a "production stat". Which is(to my understanding) a copy of the original that then get the title and other paste ups added on.

 

I'd ask the seller if it looks like a xerox, or can they see the actual ink strokes on the art. I'm guessing you'll get no reply however since they seem to be an "auction assist place" with almost 500 auctions running.

 

If you really like it, it might be worth the $50 gamble.

Ok, well I emailed the seller and didn't get a response as expected. I ended up winning the auction so we'll see what I end up getting in the mail. I hope it's the real deal as I don't own any covers.
