Grading Number Faded 0

Hello..I'm not sure if this is an issue or not or if it's been previously addressed. I recently purchased a slab on eBay and i noticed the grading numbers are faded. Everything else checks out. The slab isn't cracked or tampered with. I included pics of 2 slabs for comparison any insight would be appreciated..Thanks!

The 9.8 is an older generation label/slab, the 9.0 is a post-April 2016 label/slab.

Is there a particular reason I see 9.9s and 10s using this lighter color number as well?
