I call BS on Thanos busting Cap's shield to smithereens!

Let's say thanos axe is harder than Cap's shield-he still needs to deliver the force to shred it, and the shield being near invulnerable, the force required would be greater than a 500 pound bomb!  Cap would be turned to jelly, as well as pounded about 500 feet underground!  Just because something is hard does not equal obliteration without the force required. If you tap an emerald with a diamond, it will not shatter!!  :makepoint:

Given that Thanos has traveled the galaxy, it's not difficult to imagine him finding heavily irradiated metals with a greater density than vibranium. The force of his strikes are likely multiple times that of Captain America's also. Anyone he hit would have likely been crushed, but you have to consider that vibranium absorbs kinetic energy, reducing the impact of those strikes.

ok the absorption-that makes sense.

Thanos' sword was forged on Nidavellir. It's legit.

So was Thor's Uru mallet but it didnt do squat against Cap's shield.

Blunt vs Edged weapon?  More surface area on the blunt weapon so that lowers the PSI force being applied, where-as the edged weapon has a much higher concentrated PSI due to the smaller hitting area?
