frankly, because it is common knowledge now that you are brad. you can deny it, but I really wouldn't bother lying again and denying it -- do you really think I'd say it so definitively if I didn't KNOW it to be the truth? I'll give you the answer... no I wouldn't.

I met Brad Savage a couple of times back when I was a "novice" collector. Savage is an infamous figure in the hobby in that Brad is known for having stacks of some of the best copies of key books (I believe Tommy B. bought a FF #1 from Brad) and there would be contingency deals based on what the book came back as.

 

Brad would set up at the local Wayne, NJ show way back in the day, and would have some bizarre prices and his personality used to scare people off -- BUT -- he had great stuff, but nobody ever looked, so dealers would take advantage of it.

 

By all accounts, those who have been to Savage's house claim it is a mess. Someplace where nobody would want to go. From those people who have been inside, it is both a treasure trove and haunted house all at the same time. Brad also has had a number of restored copies in his "collection" of books, but usually deals are worked out based on what comes back from my CGC (or some variation of that).

 

Many people will call Brad "crazy" but I prefer to think of him as both eccentric AND a little nuts. He's knowledgable, that's for sure... and he's rich, but also very, very cheap. This is from accounts of people who have been out with him.

 

I certainly think of Brad as one of those infamous figures of the hobby... he's certainly one of a kind. And I say that with both revulsion and awe at the same exact moment.

If it's not him, whatever -- but to me, I think there's no doubt about it. You know, there are plenty of veterans who post crazy... and take a look -- there are breaks in the craziness where KK posts with real insight and actual sophistication... it is there.
