Is there an easy way to spot glue 0

Have a couple slabbed books that state small amount of glue. I gather this was done to reattach cover ect and once removed I'm sure my books will fall apart lol. but is it easy to see generally or will I need a small blacklight in order to locate before making attempt at removing the glue

Once out of the case you should be able to spot it with or without black light. If not you should be able to feel it.

I usually look for dried glue.

Depending on the type of glue used. Either you’ll see/feel a dry bead of it or you’ll be able to see a difference in luster or staining if it was one of those glue sticks that are applied like lip balm

Listened to a youtube video about this exact thing. He said if you run your fingers along the edge of the comic and it's rough, good chance your feeling dried glue.
