Micro-trimming question on an ASM 9 0

The overlap is more pronounced on the bottom edge if that is what you want to know.

That being said, it seems that some books with no overlap can still get a blue label, here below is an example

You have a good point.

Considering that the CGC 9.0 copy just sold for $8,850 tonight and that it doesn't look as good as mine except for the presence of a top edge overlap, I may just live with that since having a similar copy as mine but with a bigger top overlap would mean paying for a 9.2/9.4 and that would be very expensive today I guess.

Here is another one that has a similar upper edge with almost no overlap but that one seems to be fine?

The FF3(8.5ow) is the AFTER image.

The FF3(9.0ow) QUALIFIED is the BEFORE image.

Do we know what happened to that book after the scheme was exposed, out of curiosity?

I don't understand, the bottom edge was already nice on the first version, why trimming it? 

And why has it been labeled as "cleaned staples" the first time and not the second time, were the staples "uncleaned"?

Are there back cover scans of that book?

9 out of ten will go with the doom and gloom of trimmed. Since you have overlap on the bottom, I think the top was not trimmed but the cover was simply affixed to the book that way.

I would guess that CGC missed that or changed their opinion the second time around...
