What's difficult to understand about it? I haven't read the story but from the cover Superman is saying he has to take the chance that he will be destroyed because he has to kill the guy, probably to protect the earth or the universe or something. He has to do something if he is bluffing or not. Pretty simple to understand to me.

Superman is saying "I can't take that chance". :gossip:

One of my all-time favorite captions on the cover of Challengers of the Unknown #1:

"Our young captor from OUT OF SPACE left the top off of our cage......."

Did the young captor live in a small studio apartment? Was he a hoarder and space was becoming sparse?

"Out of space" when it should be "Outer space" seems like one of those things people say all the time because they don't realize it's wrong.

"Doggy dog world" when it should be "Dog eat dog world" is another one.

If you think that's the only example, you've got another thing THINK coming.

Why does Brainiac need to stand on that rock?  Did he fly all the way there and find that rock to stand on, or did he bring it with him? hm

thats why I said lol

If DC writers and editors thought Man once had a third eye in back of his head to 'warn of danger' (not SEE danger, mind you) then they wouldnt blink at being able to hear in a vacuum due to super eardrums.
Ps as a kid reading that it disturbed me that we once had an eye in back of our heads.  I figured it would get poked frequently by stuff.

I always found it odd that Spidey would risk divulging his secret identity to this hoodlum.  :blahblah:

Peter Parker's just this guy, yeah, just some guy I know... the world mocks Peter... but not me, Spider-Man.  No relation.
