Why does this signature have a blue label?

Just browsing asking prices on eBay, I came across a copy of Amazing Fantasy 15 "signed" by Stan Lee. However it is not signature series yellow nor is it qualified green, its the universal label blue.

I found that odd and came here to look it up (Certification Number: 1298683002)

It seem legit but I have never seen a signature on a universal grade before, what is going on here?

Good morning,

Thanks for your message. It does appear that book received the wrong label. It should have received a green qualified label for an unwitnessed signature.

Thank you!

But Jen can't you request a Blue label where the signature is considered damage to the cover?

Yep.

We cannot say what the situation is on this book until we see it.  Most likely it was labeled incorrectly based on the information the original poster submitted.  The owner of the book can contact our customer service department for more information on how to send that back to us for review at submissions@cgccomics.com.

Thank you,
