... how do you source your buying opportunities? This question isn't directed to established dealers, but at 'hobbyists' who regularly/semi-regularly acquire lots and perhaps shed the pieces they don't like / trade up to other stuff.

Besides ebay buying, what do you do?

I've had this question as well.  Additionally, how do you arrive at a price?  I assume most sellers ask for (much) more than their books are either worth, or than it makes sense to pay.

....and then for that matter, how do you justify the amount offered?
