#2 CGC Registry X-Men Set Closes Tonight, Monday, June 21st, on ComicLink!

It's Monday, June 21st and it's the first day of closings for the current Focused Auction. Closing today is the entire #2 CGC Registry Set for X-Men. There are 354 comic books in the set, starting with the very first issue from 1963 which is graded, CGC 8.0 and features the introduction of the X-Men, Professor X, and Magneto! Every issue between #3 and #11 is CGC 9.4 or better, as is the majority of the set. The #4, which introduced WandaVision star Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch back in early 1964 along with her brother Pietro (Quicksilver) and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, is graded CGC 9.4. The Giant-Size X-Men #1 which introduced "New X-Men" Storm, Nightcrawler and Colossus along with the 2nd full appearance of Wolverine is a CGC Near Mint/Mint 9.8, the highest grade assigned for the issue. There are many other key issues within this set.
Other highlights include but are not limited to: CGC 9.8 examples of #50 and #58 (1st cover and full costumed appearances of Polaris and Havok), #94 CGC 9.4 Signature Series, and tough Bronze Age issues in CGC 9.8 such as #98, and keys including #101 (1st Phoenix), #107 (1st full Starjammers), #120 (1st Alpha Flight) and #129 (1st Kitty Pryde and Emma Frost). The set continues on beyond X-Men to include most of the Uncanny X-Men issues as well.
