This book started it all. I grew up reading comics, enjoying Saturday morning cartoons, playing with Megos and wearing Underoos.

In 5th grade collecting Garbage Pail Kids were the rage. For whatever reason I now don't remember, I quit that hobby and traded some cards for this issue.

My first collected issue. My first key. Absolutely one of my favorites.

Thanks for looking and assessing.

Is that tape holding anything on the staples? If not perhaps a moderate professional could remove..::

Cover looks detached.

It's not. As a 10-11 year old I taped up a few old books. I wouldn't read an Overstreet for two years. I didn't know you shouldn't conserve or restore a comicbook.

Its not a big deal to me. I see wear and age of any book as character. And the tape on this one is part of my hobby history.

Thanks all for the opinions.

Perfectly understandable. Even removing the tape probably won’t help bump much anyways and as part of your history with the book, keep it.

I wish I had history like that with old books:) sadly my history from my youth is the 90s….not my fav time for comics at all haha
