Williamseric58
I know the comic books have to fit within the following dimensions 10-1/2" tall x 7-5/8" wide x 1/4" thick. When I measured the trade paperback it was only 1/16th to thick. Can it get pressed enough to fit in the slabs to be graded or signed? djzombi, Semicentennial and Rainbow in the Park
Administrator Jennifer F. Posted June 25, 2021 Administrator Share Posted June 25, 2021 Good morning, Thanks for your message. Unfortunately, no, we do not grade or encapsulate paperbacks. Our pressing service is there to press out defects in comics and magazines and not to compress the book itself to a smaller or thinner size. Thank you! Okay I am confused now on if CGC can grade trade paperbacks or not. I went to a different company and got them graded, because I you said CGC will not grade and encapsulate trade paperbacks. I found Batman: A Death In The Family Trade Paperbacks on CGC's Census. I have attached screenshots of the census. So Does CGC graded Trade Paperbacks or not? If they don't then how and why are they on the census? If CGC does graded Trade Paperbacks how do i go about getting them submitted? https://www.cgccomics.com/census/search-results.aspx?title=Batman%3a%2bA%2bDeath%2bin%2bthe%2bFamily&issue=&matchtype=anywhere https://www.cgccomics.com/census/issues_bytitle.asp?title=Batman%3a+A+Death+in+the+Family+Trade+Paperback&publisher=D.C.+Comics https://www.cgccomics.com/census/grades_standard.asp?title=Batman%3A+A+Death+in+the+Family+Trade+Paperback&publisher=D.C.+Comics&issue=nn&year=1988&issuedate=1988 https://www.cgccomics.com/census/grades_standard.asp?title=Batman%3A+A+Death+in+the+Family+Trade+Paperback&publisher=D.C.+Comics&issue=nn&year=2011&issuedate=2011 https://www.cgccomics.com/census/grades_standard.asp?title=Batman%3A+A+Death+in+the+Family+Trade+Paperback&publisher=D.C.+Comics&issue=nn&year=1992&issuedate=1992 Edited August 31, 2021 by Williamseric58
Williamseric58
This is what the dimensions are for the trade paperback. PGX Comics East is owned and ran by CGCs former vintage grader and does a amazing job. Have you sent anything to PGX Comics East? When people that haven't received anything from them say that then their opinion is hot garbage and can not be taken seriously.
