Full disclosure, trying to but this comic. Everything looks good for the price, BUT, I think theres water damage by Spiderman's face (upc location).  Back looks good.  Does this "water damage" drop me below 8.0 by itself?

Yes, that is most definitely water damage. What I do know is even though serious creases are not allowed  on an  8.0, if the rest of the book is near perfect it will pass as an 8.0 regardless...I've seen them, so I know this is true. Is it the same for water stains? I really don't know. But based on what I do know about how a crease is handled on a near perfect book, I'm going to give this an 8.0 as it stands. Weigh that against the other comments as they come along.

That's a little bit bigger of an affected area with the water damage than would be seen in an 8.0 I believe. Plus they tend to hit that pretty hard so I'm going 7.0.

We need pics of both covers at minimum for grading.

But a stain that size would drop the book to VF range.

Got a look at the back cover.  Absolutely correct. Back shows the water even worse.  Thanks all for the feedback, thinking 6.5-7.  I hate water damage :-(

Yes

I'd say more like 6.0 at best with the amount it has

Size of stain brings it down to 6.0 possibly 6.5.

CGC is very hard on books with water stains. I personally wouldn't buy it because it will be hard to resell if you ever decide to.
