Your go-to comedies when you need to laugh
1 1

I was rewatching Saving Silverman last night with Jason Biggs, Jack Black and Steve Zahn. After all these years, this still brings me to tears with certain scenes how solid the comedy acting was in this film. And with R. Lee Ermey too.

Another one is Uncle Buck. So much gold throughout.

And there is always Bill Murray movies such as Groundhog Day and What About Bob.

What's your go-to comedies you revisit?

I almost never laugh. It’s a sickness. The funniest movies and shows will give me a big goofy smile. But anyway, Curb your Enthusiasm is gold to me.   For movies, I’m still trying to think of one. I remember the Hanks maniacal laugh scene in The Money Pit got me back in the day.

Great recommendations.

Kevin Smith's Jay & Silent Bob always gets me laughing. As juvenile as the humor is at times. I just don't care. Right out of the gate it hits home this is a wild stoner film to be remembered.

And it just so happens today I finally tracked down Dogma Special Edition 2-Disc Set from a flea market.

Like the movie Slapshot (which I love) there is Goon (2012) that IMHO is comedy gold that also has dramatic moments concerning character development. There is a scene between Liev Schreiber and Seann William Scott that nails the spirit of an aging athlete.

But keeps the crazy sports humor going between teammates
