MetalPSI
I have a 9.6 SS book with a cracked corner I'd like to reholder. I know the book hasn't been pressed and I've thought about testing my luck. Is it possible to get a press for a SS reholder? Sorry if this is the wrong forum
steveinthecity
You can certainly have an SS book pressed, but it will be put into the grading queue rather than just be reholdered. Of course you know about SS chain of custody and all that, so I’m not sure what your options would be outside of CCS. KCOComics
Some 3rd party pressers can do SS books. CFP for example. But it wouldn't be a reholder any longer. It would be a hole new grade. With a 9.6, look it over very carefully for spine tics and tiny color breaking creases. If there is anything that would disqualify it from being a 9.8, don't gamble, just reholder. If you can pin point something that can be improved with a press, go for it. Just be ok with the idea it could come back as a 9.4. theCapraAegagrus
You can get it pressed by CCS prior to regrading.
