Can somebody talk more about color touch, I'm not very familiar.

COLOR TOUCH – This process replaces missing color or masks defects using materials such as acrylic paint, watercolors, pen, crayons, pastels, markers, or white-out. Color touch also refers to inpainting.

It can be professionally done or by amateurs. In the case if this FF48, the color touch was likely done with a pen and the ink bled through the front cover to the interior cover. We also detected it in the right light due to a discrepancy in the sheen or gloss of the cover.

Here's a video by CGC in restoration.

Here's a good one by Eta Nick.

Also, Google "comic book color touch" or "restoration" to find many other resources.

And finally, our very own boards-

Would this be better to  get graded restored around a 5.5 or 6  Or is it better to leave raw ?

I would argue for slabbing.

To double check the restoration. Also to understand and classify the level of registration. All good things if eventually selling rather than putting in a description and anyone taking your word. :shy:

As cgc says in the on hold on the phone shpeil, "hello, and welcome to cgc, the nations most trusted 3rd party encapsulation.... Yadda yadda!"

Please show a picture of the inside spine.  How much bleed thru is there along the spine?  If only a dot or two then..... possibly resto removal (even though it'll put a tiny hole(s) in the comic).

If there's a lot of bleed thru you'll want to leave it alone, or perhaps even add some CT to cover the scuffs at the bottom of the spine (which might increase the "apparent" grade).

It's a nice looking comic.  I think it's an "apparent" 5.5-6.0 right now.  Still very desirable, even with the CT.
