1st appearance of Brother Blood (Sebastian Blood)
1st appearance of the Monitor (Pre-Crisis)
1st appearance of Lyla Michaels as Harbinger
1st appearance of Night Force (Team)

NOTE: The creative team behind the "Night Force" preview – Marv Wolfman, Gene Colan, Bob Smith, and John Costanza – are the same team that worked on the majority of the popular 1970's Marvel Comics title, Tomb of Dracula. In this preview, the reader is introduced to a character named Vanessa van Helsing, later revealed to be the granddaughter of the infamous Professor Van Helsing of Dracula fame.
