PGM Superman #4--Newsstand Edition

Hello fellow boardies!!!  I have three PGM's for today, but I'm going to go off-topic real quick.  I no longer plan on sending comics to any entity for grading/encapsulation because of all the shenanigans that have been occurring within the past two years.  With 20 Moderns still outstanding especially, as of May 7th, I've lost interest.  For the past few months I've been considering starting a mixed age thread and listing the sizeable pile of 'gradeable' comics that I've been putting aside since last Fall to send to my presser and on to CGC.  I'd still like everyone's opinions/observations on grade estimates for when I list said comics.  This is NOT a sales thread announcement, just a statement/thought.  I hope to hear from all of the usual suspects here in the forum.  Stop playing video games in your Vampirella underoos...get off your butt and grade my comics @Deadpoolica:devil:

Book #1 might have been submission worthy, but it would have been cleaned and pressed, as you can plainly see.  My biggest concern is the potential production wrinkle on Bloodsport's fist on the front cover.  I can actually feel it on the inside of the page, so I'm not 100% on 'production'.  Let me have it!!!!

8.0-ish. Is Bloodsport a big deal now? I found half a long box in a closet I didn't know I had. Thought it was stolen or given away Has that issue in it plus some bronze age HOS, Kamandi, Kubert Tarzan. Neat! Thought it was stolen or I gave it away. 35 years sitting in that box.

I wouldn’t say a BIG deal…just a first appearance.  I posted it because of the white cover, which isn’t easy to find as clean as this one. (thumbsu

As interesting as Bloodsport is, I find this much more intriguing. I think especially in this PGM topic, we have found a lot of members can come within a half or full point of CGC's assessments. Many times right on the nose. Perhaps members will come out of their slumber and realize they can believe their own eyes and use their own common sense to grade their own books. I mean, why send out and pay to have your books lost, torn, used as coasters or flyswatters or get back the wrong book with an inaccurate, ambiguous grade to boot? And have them sit in cue for months or even years?

I am quite enjoying the hunt for raw, quality books. I got my raw Bat 222 in the mail the other day and couldn't be happier. (Well, I COULD be happier, but that would involve powerful pharmaceuticals and a quality call girl. Speaking of off-topic.) Don't really need any grading company to tell me where the bear &*^%# in the buckwheat. All I need them for is restoration spots.

Meet "The Beatles"!
